What is your rental rate?
What does the rental rate include?
The rental rate includes access to the property (excluding the upstairs of the main house, and the suite unless rented).
How may people does Sailors' Rest accommodate?
Our venue comfortably fits up to 200 people, ceremony space dependant on location. Inquire for more details on this or to tour the venue.
Is there space to get ready on site?
Our downstairs suite is the perfect place for the bride and bridesmails to get ready.
Does the venue require a deposit?
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to hold a date for your event, and the remainder is due 7 days before your event.
Do you supply catering/rentals?
All catering, beverage services, and rentals such as tents, chairs, etc., are the responsiblity of the renting party. This gives you the freedom to offer catering, family smorgasbord, or any kind of food and beverage set up you hope for.
Who is responsible for setting up & breaking down?
Setting up & breaking down is the responsibility of the renter. Wedding events usually have 5 hours of event time. This time is flexible and open for discussion. For instance, if you book a Friday night wedding, you can have access to the property as early as 7am that same day. It is suggested music stop at 11pm. We are flexible and open for discussion on time line for vendors to set up and break down.
What if there is inclement weather?
There are several covered spots on the property, however each ceremony spot is also easily covered by a rented tent. (See other FAQ regarding tent info)
Is there parking onsite?
Parking on adjacent property can accommodate about 125 cars. Party buses may also drop off guests.
What do your recommend for a tent?
We recommend a 40' x 60' tent, however a 40' x 80' tent will fit over the small fruit trees. If you do not wish to rent a tent, we suggest a rain reserve at rental facility. Snyder Rental is recommended as they only require 48 hours notice prior to event.
What are there for bathroom facilities?
There is one bathroom available. For additional facilities, bathroom trailers may be brought in.
What is required for serving alcohol at events?
We require alcohol vendor to have license and insurance. Most bartenders and caterers have their own insurance.
